WebOct 18, 2015 · Asus Strix 970 very noisy fans. 10-18-2015 06:50 AM. Just got my STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 and fired up the demo 3DMark benchmark. As expected, the fans are totally silent at low temperatures but they very quickly start to ramp up. About 1 minute into the demo they are really pretty loud. WebAlso apparently the GTX 970 requires 28A whereas my PSU's max current seems to be 25A. Wouldn't know if that was the issue, but a new PSU could definitely do the trick.
